Based in Los Angeles, with travel to Washington, D.C., and other locations by request.
My obsession with photography started on my ninth birthday – when I received my very first camera: a Kodak Disc. As a child, I loved setting up photo-shoots for my two budgie parakeets, using Barbie furniture. During High School, I posed and took photos of my friends at the end of the year. In college, I studied graphic design and always incorporated my photography into projects.
Over ten years ago, I moved to Los Angeles from the D.C. Metro Area. I’ve photographed special events, red-carpets, bands, portraits – you name it. Photography was part of my job when I worked at CAA, a top-tier talent agency in Los Angeles. Part of my job as a graphic and media services designer in the corporate communications/creative services team, I was also the in-house photographer. I photographed executive head shots, corporate retreats, private concerts, parties, and events.
I’ve always freelanced in addition to working a corporate gig, but today I exclusively work on projects and commissions. My focus is on portraits, head shots, lifestyle, and product photography. I also art direct, photograph, and create content for marketing campaigns. Presently, I shoot with a digital Canon DSLR and my Samsung Galaxy S8. My daughter is my inspiration and my muse.
In my spare time, I love eating good food, trying new restaurants, and exploring my surroundings. I also enjoy dancing and taekwondo. I document highlights of my life experiences and photography on my blog, WestsideMommy.com
